Each year, the Irish American Heritage Society organizes and facilitates the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Augusta, GA.

SET-UP TIMES & PERTINENT INFORMATION

Date: Monday, March 17, 2025
Setup Location: James Brown Arena Parking Lot
Arrival Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Participants must be in their assigned locations by 1:30 p.m. at the latest.
Parade Start Time: 2:00 p.m. promptly

PARADE ROUTE

Parade participants will queue in the designated area.

  • The Parade will exit the James Brown Arena Parking Lot on 7th Street

  • It will turn left onto Green Street

  • It will turn right onto 11th Street

  • It will turn right onto Broad Street

  • It will end at 6th Street

  • Participants are asked to return to the James Brown Arena from here.

LINE-UP & STAGING INFO

Parade Captains will be stationed within the staging lot. Unit and row locations will be assigned at check-in.

ANIMALS
You must keep up with the parade unit in front of you. Please do not stop to let spectators pet or take pictures with animals. All animals must provide their own clean-up staff. Any unit not abiding can be removed from the parade and prohibited from future participation.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

By participating in the parade, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is organized, facilitated, and privately funded by the Irish American Heritage Society Parade Committee. As such, the Parade Committee and its Chair have the sole discretion on all matters pertaining to the parade and its operation.

  2. All entries must provide family-oriented entertainment consistent with the celebration in honor of St. Patrick and of Irish-American Heritage.

  3. Each entry is responsible for the conduct of all of its participants.

  4. Alcohol is not permitted in the parade.

  5. In order to maintain a safe buffer between the parade and spectators, objects - including candy - may not be tossed from floats or vehicles. Candy may be handed out curbside by walking groups only.

  6. The Parade Committee has the right to inspect all units prior to and during the parade.

  7. The driver of each vehicle must be a qualified, licensed driver. Proof of a valid driver's license must be provided if requested.

  8. All vehicle entries must be insured to the satisfaction of the Parade Committee. Proof of insurance must be provided if requested.

  9. Each vehicle must keep pace with the preceding unit while maintaining a minimum safe distance of 10 feet.

  10. The Parade Committee reserves the right to exclude any entry from participation.
