Each year, the Irish American Heritage Society organizes and facilitates the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Augusta, GA.

Beginning at 2:00 p.m.
SET-UP TIMES & PERTINENT INFORMATION
Date: Tuesday, March 17, 2026
Setup Location: James Brown Arena Parking Lot
Arrival Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Participants must be in their assigned locations by 1:30 p.m. at the latest.
Parade Start Time: 2:00 p.m. promptly.
PARADE ROUTE
Please note - due to ongoing downtown construction, City officials have approved the following route to ensure the safety of both participants and spectators.
Parade organizes at James Brown Arena (JBA) Parking Lot between 6th Street and 7th Street
START Northbound on 7th Street
Cross Telfair Street and turn LEFT onto Greene Street Westbound
Proceed west on Greene Street to RIGHT onto 10th Street Northbound
Proceed north on 10th Street to LEFT onto Reynolds Street Westbound
Reynolds Street west for one block to LEFT onto 11th Street Southbound
Proceed south on 11th Street to LEFT onto Greene Street Eastbound
Proceed east on Greene Street to RIGHT onto 7th Street Southbound
7th Street south to return to JBA Parking Lot END
The overall parade route is approximately 1.73 miles
LINE-UP & STAGING INFO
Parade Captains will be stationed within the staging lot. Unit and row locations will be assigned at check-in.
ANIMALS
You must keep up with the parade unit in front of you. Please do not stop to let spectators pet or take pictures with animals. All animals must provide their own clean-up staff. Any unit not abiding can be removed from the parade and prohibited from future participation.

By participating in the parade, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is organized, facilitated, and privately funded by the Irish American Heritage Society Parade Committee. As such, the Parade Committee and its Chair have the sole discretion on all matters pertaining to the parade and its operation.
All entries must provide family-oriented entertainment consistent with the celebration in honor of St. Patrick and of Irish-American Heritage.
Each entry is responsible for the conduct of all of its participants.
Alcohol is not permitted in the parade.
In order to maintain a safe buffer between the parade and spectators, objects - including candy - may not be tossed from floats or vehicles. Candy may be handed out curbside by walking groups only.
The Parade Committee has the right to inspect all units prior to and during the parade.
The driver of each vehicle must be a qualified, licensed driver. Proof of a valid driver's license must be provided if requested.
All vehicle entries must be insured to the satisfaction of the Parade Committee. Proof of insurance must be provided if requested.
Each vehicle must keep pace with the preceding unit while maintaining a minimum safe distance of 10 feet.
The Parade Committee reserves the right to exclude any entry from participation.
